    Lesson 1
    Competence
    - Greeting someone formally.
    New language
    ● Vocabulary
    - Good – morning, good – afternoon, good – evening, good – bye.
    ● Sentence Patterns
    - Good – morning, Miss Hiền.
    - Good – morning, everybody.
    Resources
    - Student’s Book Tiếng Anh 4, tập một, Unit 1, page 6.
    - Audio and visual aids: Recordings, stickers, pictures.
    Aim: Pps will be able to greeting someone.
    I. Warm – up
    - T greeting Pps. Some Pps greet together.
    T: Hi, everybody.
    Pps: Hello, everybody.
    II. Presentation
    1. Look, listen and repeat.
    - T draws four pictures on the board – Pps identify the pictures.
    T: (point to the picture) I have four pictures. (Point the picture 1) So you see.
    Pp1: I see the sun, sea.
    T: Yes, the sun is rise on the sea. Good – morning, Good – morning,
    Good – morning.
    Pps: Repeat a few times.
    - T points to the girl and the boy to present girls and boys.
    - T reads all the words (Good – morning, boys, girls) – Pps repeat a few times.
    - Some Pps read a few times – T checks their pronunciation.
    - T plays the recording – Pps listen and point to the words.
    - T plays the recording again – Pps listen and repeat a few times.
    - T divides Pps into two groups to listen and repeat.
    - Game: T speaks whisper sentences, Pps guess. Then, Pps speak, whole classes guess.
    Miss Hien: Good morning, boy and girls.
    Pupils: Good morning, Miss Hien.
    - T plays the recording – Pps listen and repeat again.
    2. Look and say.
    T: (point to the picture 2) you see…..
    Pp2: I see a big sun.
    T: OK, good – afternoon, good – afternoon, good – afternoon.
    Pps: Repeat a few times.
    T: (point to the picture 3) you see….
    Pp3: A mountain, a sun.
    T: Yeah! The sun is losing in the moutain. Good – evening, Good – evening,
    Good – evening.
    Pps: Repeat a few times.
    T: (point to the picture 4) you see…..
    Pp4: Half moon.
    T: Good – bye, Good – bye, Good – bye, Good – bye.
    - Pps fill the words in the bubble – Pps repeat a few times.
    

    - Some Pps greet a few times.
    - T sticks pictures on the board.
    - Pps look at the pictures and work in pairs – T goes around helping.
    - Pps practice in front of the class – Whole classes check.
    - T sticks some new pictures on the board – Pps practice.
    - T checks pronunciation.
    - T speaks greeting – Pps draw the pictures.
    III. Follow – up
    - Pps match pictures with the greeting.
    IV. Homelink
    - Pps practice the greeting at home.

    - T sticks picture a on the board – Pps identify the picture.
    T: Now, look at the board. You see, ….
    Pp1: A sun is rise and I see Mrs Lan and Mrs green.
    T: So, you guess what are they saying?
    Pp2: They are saying “Good morning, good morning”
    - Pps fill the words in the bubble.
    
    - Pps read a few times.
    - Pps role play and greeting – Some Pps practice in front of the class.
    - T checks pronunciation.
    - Some Pps stand up and greeting with classmates.
    - Guessing Game: Pp1 go to the board and hide eyes. T chooses another
